Many attempt, their love to define;
with sweet scents and musical notes;
others use dinners followed by wine;
and most cleverly devised quotes.
Most, unaware how love is planted;
a seed, sown deep in the mind;
or how it can grow and is granted;
by such things, love is defined.
Life’s Summer has gone, long ago;
and Autumn passed by, too;
I feel the effects of the Winter’s snow;
love’s warmth, no longer my view.
Perhaps its the cold of loneliness;
I just don’t really know;
my writing; shifted to poetry;
like the rain turns into
Though we stood but a few feet apart;
it seemed more, the length of a field;
both shared the same mind and heart;
the truth for us; suddenly revealed.
Separate by the space of uncertainty;
we shyly moved closer together;
two partners destined for eternity;
meant to be lovers forever.
Love is the never ending poem;
created in seven days;
the ultimate, boundless energy ocean
coming in unending waves.
It brings in all hope for tomorrow;
while encompassing joyful todays;
yet, blends in unspeakable sorrow;
to highlight love’s ultimate displays.
It’s never surrounded by fences;
it blows like
The woman stood in a terrible place;
she was carrying her rapist’s child;
filled with anger, hurt, and disgrace;
to be a mother for one so reviled.
The baby inside her was a little girl;
whose father was a rapist and worse;

I’d fill my garden with edibles;
then I’d grow something to eat;

We do our best to just get along;
and separate happy from sad.
Emotions and feelings are storms;
meant to be endured;
