The Emperor Has No Clothes

There was a fable; told long ago;
the ruler, an arrogant and foolish man;
knew everything there was to know;
and wore the finest clothes in the land.

Approached by a corrupt deceiver;
he was told of magic material;
when woven by this magical weaver;
made a spectacular garment ethereal.

The Eye Of The Storm

We’ve often heard of the eye of the storm;
which refers to the middle of a hurricane;
the center in which peace and calm, form;
surrounded by death and destruction’s reign.

This eye is a metaphor of God’s creation;
disrupted by rebellions and treasons.

it quickly envelops all that we be;
transforming us to becoming distraught,
the energy morphs itself into

Round The Bend

I’d been on this path; seemed a long time;
and I’d finally adjusted to the wind;
I felt that this life path surely was mine;
not knowing what lay round the bend.

It hadn’t been easy; a struggle, for sure;
but I thought I was getting someplace;

Serenity

We’ve heard the calm before the storm;
peace that surpasses understanding;
in good conscience, I must forewarn;
even in peace, life’s demanding.

Though storms in life, come and go;
they never stay gone for long.
Through them all, we seem to grow;
