Looking For Eve

I’ve spent my life, looking ahead;
and, looking back, as well;
in another time; earth will be dead;
this vacuous, empty hell.

Some view it; as heaven on earth;
their memory of heaven, faded;
heaven, the garden of perfect birth;
where, to love; all are persuaded.

Eve is the symbol of feminine passion;
Adam; the image of every man;
love is the gift; that none may ration;
the ultimate gift; of the I Am.

I’ve spent a lifetime; looking for Eve;
I feel her energy draw near;
within her love; I’ve come to believe;
love will erase all fear.

I am the seed of Adam, from above;
struggling for faith to believe;
in search of the image of God’s love;
in vain; looking for Eve.

I search the canyons of my mind;
looking for the woman I love;
Eve has gone; leaving me behind;
she now lives in heaven above.

Eve has left; she’s no longer around;
she’s gone on, to heaven, instead;
in a woman’s eyes; Eve may be found;
proof; that love’s never dead.
