The Certainty Of Doubt

Two things in life; we know for certain;
for others; we wait, to find out;
first, is the certainty of life’s final curtain;
the second; the certainty of doubt.

Doubt is the name; given to indecision;
the kingdom where most of us live;
certainty is the realm of perfect vision;
where love teaches to forgive.

Few of us are certain about everything;
everyone deserves a second chance;
I feel very certain that robins can sing;
but, certainly, doubt I can dance.

Certainty and doubt, often ebbs and flows;
much like the river of life;
many feel certain that love always grows;
while doubts; cut like a knife.

Many of us consider it wise to doubt;
others are certain, they’re right;
many, are dubious; till they find out;
patiently waiting to see the light.

Certainty is often confused with arrogance;
for arrogance certainly comes from pride;
doubts may come from a natural inheritance;
which naturally sets all certainty aside.

Certainty and doubt, often ebb and flow;
doubt comes in darkest night;
we’re often uncertain; which way to go;
and, certainly hope we’re right.
