In Darkest Night

In darkest night; I long to escape;
all the tragedies of my sin;
in the new dawn; I shall awake;
and God will invite me in.

Life is a scrapbook of human frailty;
loneliness leading to sin;
we can be whatever we choose to be;
but don’t know how to begin.

Night is the time most of us dream;
tho dreams are out of control;
often, during sleep, truth is seen;
thought; the vision of the soul.

During the day; we become actors;
treating life; as tho it’s a play;
dreaming we are generous benefactors;
stepping forward; to save the day.

Daydreams are often canceled at night;
especially when we’re alone;
only our love can make all things right;
empty is the loveless home.

When we awaken to another new dawn;
it’s just one day; following another;
in deep frustration; we try to carry on;
loneliness is a sorrowful lover.

Loneliness brings darkness of night;
life is about loving and forgiving;
love is what makes everything right;
without love; life isn’t worth living.
