Dreams Of Our Own
Every physical life is more like a dream
throughout this dream, we roam;
sometimes destiny can become extreme;
we all have dreams of our own.
I long for the gift; others have gotten;
one which requires anointment;
the apple of God’s eye; turned rotten;
dreaming of another appointment.
As a child; the world became my oyster;
I was filled with dreams of success;
now, that I’m old; life becomes my cloister;
I’ve only my failures to confess.
God’s gifts are more precious than any degree;
energies of wisdom; from above;
God’s dreams are dreams for eternity;
truth only comes from love.
In spite of it all; I have dreams of my own;
most dreams, are a white elephant;
all success depends on the Master, alone;
time makes my dreams irrelevant;
There’s a time and place, for every life decision;
leaving all other choices behind;
certainty eliminates any need for revision;
in sync with the Master’s mind.
Earth is an illusion; a kingdom of dreams;
throughout these dreams, we roam;
nothing, on this earth, is all that it seems;
we all have dreams of our own.
