Who Will Comfort The Lonely?
Many eventually will reside in solitude;
especially, when later in years;
some,living alone, and eating dog food;
drinking to drown their tears.
Some have money; although not a lot;
many of them, live day-to-day;
some would be considered a have-not;
they lost everything, yesterday.
Others, among them, have money to spare;
but, no one to share it with;
everyone lonely needs someone to care;
their answer is not who; but if.
Few are attractive; when they grow old;
ones who are; are already taken;
most are just after your money or gold;
for lovers they’re often mistaken.
Many view old people with contempt;
others, show them respect;
their living conditions are often unkempt;
causing others to object.
Some of the lonely are much like a baby;
in need of someone’s protection;
their answer to every question is “Maybe?”
What they really need is affection.
Who will comfort the lonely?
The answer, tho simple, is odd;
there is but one answer, only;
they receive love from God.
