What It Means To Serve
Many question what it means to serve
wondering what it means to live;
it’s never to be about what we deserve;
only, about what we can give.
The wonders of life; lead us to ask;
what was to be its purpose;
tho many plan some grandiose task;
God only wants our service.
We waste time; looking high and low;
introspection is what it’s about;
we are within; not above or below;
the reality we see is inside out.
Sight and sound are all an illusion;
creation is thoughts on a mind;
the death we see, as life’s conclusion;
is dead memories, left behind.
Many spend life, accumulating wealth
loving their diamonds and gold;
all that they gain; through their stealth;
can’t love them back; when old.
Love isn’t about what we’re to receive;
only about what we give;
we all worry about what to believe;
instead of how to forgive.
Your life is your expression of love;
not your diamonds or gold;
memories gone; now live above;
for, love never grows old.
