The Evil Of Silence
Speak no evil; or so we’ve been told;
words can come back to haunt;
some others say; that silence is gold;
perhaps, they say it; to taunt..
Silence is viewed, as giving consent;
hinting, you don’t disagree;
without a reply; you’ve given assent;
silence vacates liberty.
Silence is proof you no longer have will;
in reply to a command to be quiet;
the evil one needs, the willing to keep still;
silent sheep are his favorite diet.
Silence has become our favorite language,
devoid of all consonants and verbs;
in silence, innocence tends to languish;
evil is confronted with words.
Life was created with light and sound;
consciousness gives us choices;
evil thrives; when dissent is not found;
truth requires honest voices.
Even little babies were born to cry out;
soon they’re taught to keep still;
all must be taught what life is about;
silence is often the devil’s will.
All are told, to follow the science;
and the truth shall set you free;
truth can’t compete with silence;
love is the only true liberty.
