We Get; What We Give
Many people; who believe they are just;
sometimes think; that God is unfair;
it comes from a lack of faith and trust;
others don’t think God is there.
We trust our judgment; above all others;
secure in the way that we live;
believing we’re kind to sisters and brothers;
willing to forget and forgive.
Very few pray, for what they deserve;
they usually pray for much more;
claiming to be servants; few ever serve;
only God, really keeps score.
Our thoughts and God’s; must be in sync;
faith is a two way connection;
God knows our thoughts; through this link;
he hears our hate and rejection.
We have been taught; we reap what we sow;
yet; it often doesn’t affect how we live;
the truth is the same; both above and below;
we must always get; what we give.
The greatest commandment of God is love;
only love can erase all our sin;
death will return us to the garden, above;
only love, allows us in.
God commanded; we hear his voice;
we have freedom in how we live;
on earth, we each, make our own choice;
in eternity; we get, what we give.
