The Serpent’s Eyes
Vision is a most unique mystery;
awareness, leads to surmise;
many see what they want to see;
from out of the serpent’s eyes.
Most think they’re in total control;
of whatever they do and say;
totally unaware of the serpent’s role;
life is a most complex ballet.
The serpent has a way of bending truth;
hiding behind most of life’s lies;
his true thoughts, hidden; he acts aloof;
all; revealed, in the serpent’s eyes.
We can’t blame all sin on demonic control;
demons just provide temptations;
the power to resist; lies within every soul;
the essence of love’s foundations.
The serpent knows how to bend the truth;
seeing all our weakness, within;
seldom attempting to offer us proof;
the tempter or temptress of sin.
The serpent acts in secret, by stealth;
catching many in surprise;
stealing our virtue, love, and wealth;
seen by the serpent’s eyes.
When seeking truth; just look in the eyes;
the eyes play a pivotal role;
they give us answers; not just surmise;
they are the path to the soul.
