The Naked Mind
It’s been said; clothes make the man;
and, perhaps, the woman, as well;
but, what very few of us understand;
clothes hide a virtueless hell.
Clothes give a body a certain grace;
hiding what lies within;
nudity reveals a very different face;
leading to thoughts of sin.
The body is only an image of a mind;
the mind wears clothes of its own;
concealing thoughts; to be left behind;
professing virtue, to be our home.
We all appear naked; before our Master;
truth is never hidden, by clothes;
although anyone may deceive a pastor;
to God; all truth is exposed.
The mind is the energy soul of man;
nothing in the soul is hidden;
the prodigal child of God, the I Am;
dreaming thoughts, forbidden.
No disguise, can hide, who we are;
be they, raiment or clothes;
although, reality may seem bizarre;
truth lies naked and exposed.
Naked, we’re born; and naked, we die;
in death; lies are left behind;
none can deceive; no one should try;
God only sees our naked mind.
