The Gift Of Wisdom
Most of us long for peace and tranquility;
but, that’s not where wisdom is found;
knowledge comes from great instability;
in lightning and thunder; truth is found.
In times of peace; there’s very little growth;
sometimes, there’s even stagnation;
conflict is something we’ve come to loathe;
though defeats, often leads to salvation.
Wisdom always starts out as a seed;
planted in fertile ground;
failures bring out, just what we need;
wisdom is always around.
Wisdom is a merger of logic and knowledge;
two traits, rarely found together;
tho many believe they will find them in college;
many fools stay in college forever.
Wisdom is one of God’s greatest talents;
a gift that most of us seek;
but, pride, very often, upsets the balance;
and faith is given to the meek.
All great wisdom is a gift from above;
deep faith tends to make it so;
wisdom must be tempered with love;
in order for the wisdom to grow.
Wisdom is never reserved for the proud;
for the proud, believe they’re elite.
God, in heaven, is laughing outloud;
saving his wisdom for the meek.
