The Gift Of Faith
Faith is the most valuable gift, we’re given;
for it is our link with the Master;
when it becomes, that, by pride, we’re driven;
we tend to often court disaster.
Faith often tends to come, and then go;
but, maintaining it, is a must;
tragedies and sorrows make us grow;
faith is our measure of trust.
Faith is one of God’s great mysteries;
it demonstrates trust in his will;
having the power to alter histories;
it can even make time stand still.
Faith is our permanent link to our Master;
like having God, at our beck and call;
through his power, we can avert disaster;
for God can catch us; when we fall.
Many think faith in God is for fools;
but they simply don’t understand;
godless people are the devil’s tools;
we’re all here, at God’s command.
Faith was first planted as God’s seed;
intended to grow, and to flower;
God saw our grievous sin; and need;
faith has given us his power.
In creation, we rejected God’s gift of life;
while often accepting temptation;
some even rejected a husband or wife;
faith is our link to salvation.
