The Faces Of Opportunity
In the midst of failures; opportunity knocks;
it appears in its own time and place;
it pays no mind to surroundings or clocks;
but, it usually wears a unique face.
We must learn to look beyond that face;
destiny lays hidden, neath the surface;
what seems success; may mask disgrace;
opportunities serve someone’s purpose.
We were created by the Master’s voice;
cast out of God’s garden above;
steeped in sin; we made the wrong choice;
ignoring the face called love.
Now, we’re engaged in a battle for the soul;
challenged to make the right choices;
as children of God; love must be our role;
while listening to a plethora of voices.
Opportunities come in all shapes and sizes;
their benefactors differ, as well;
some that seem great, are demonic surprises;
opportunities, straight from hell.
Promises; wrapped, in silver and gold;
are not all; that they seemed to be;
it’s a matter of who’s bought or sold;
only our love can set us free.
Everyone wears more than one face;
lying faces affect our destiny;
many lead to fraud; and disgrace;
beware; faces of opportunity;
