The Death Of A Dream

Dreams often take on a life of their own;
many dream; both day and night;
some even live in their dream home;
but, most, eventually, see the light.

Servants serve the will of the Master;
his purpose; is ours to fulfill;
personal pride, leads to disaster;
arrogance has its own will.

Some of our dreams, seem to take shape;
tho to others, they appear impossible;
when it seems reality’s given us a break;
most of us deem it illogical.

Circumstance often plants its seed;
from it; dreams are born;
wisdom warns; but, we fail to heed;
death only leads us to mourn.

What can we do; when our dreams die;
there’s very little, anyone can do;
some just laugh; but, most of us cry;
wishing; can’t make them true.

When dreams die; they must be buried;
and left in an unmarked grave;
divorce or death of ones, I once married;
there’s only memories; left to save.

Tho every dream is born for a reason;
some are whispers from above;
both life and death; live, but a season;
only eternity dreams of love.
