LOVE

The soul is able to love all as one;
though the body never will;
dating back to since time has begun;
the soul never gets its fill.

Love is the sexual joining of two minds;
a permanant lasting bond persists;
since usually by physical, reality’s defined;
it’s as

Many attempt, their love to define;
with sweet scents and musical notes;
others use dinners followed by wine;
and most cleverly devised quotes.

Most, unaware how love is planted;
a seed, sown deep in the mind;
or how it can grow and is granted;
by such things, love is defined.

I lapsed into sleep; though still awake;
and reality’s being, hastily flashed on;
totally confused by reality’s mistake;
it seemed I had entered a new dawn.

I found myself in another place;
not quite realizing where I was;
somewhere, within thought’s space;
I had become there, just

All of us strive for, and seek perfection;
we seek a good match in all we do;
In seeking a mate we want a connection;
what ever I like; you should like too.

We long for a love, very much like us;
each walking, in step, by the other;
if

Two ships in the night is what we were;
though passing; aware of each other;
with thoughts of love; our menu de jour;
such secret passions, we’d discover.

Each of us thought of our life alone;
unaware our thoughts were matched;
dreaming the other would share a home;
and

I hereby direct this message to you;
more than anyone else on my mind;
for you, the presence of life, imbue;
and so I say, “Life, be kind.”

For you are the one I see every day;
in every facet of your being;
we interact in most every way;
reality,

It’s often said, “I just want to be friends;”
a conversation stopper, for sure.
It’s where a one sided love ends;
but such a friendship never endures.

Most seem to think that opposites attract;
that polarity will draw them together;
yet, many find, their opposites attack;
and feel

At times when I’m lonely; wanting to cry;
virtually at the limit of what I can stand;
God most obligingly sends someone by;
someone, metaphorically, to hold my hand.

Not much is required to bring me down;
emotions, quite fragile, when alone;
sadness often can cause us to drown;
