The Essence Of Pride
I was taught to always do my very best;
be proud when work was completed;
but now, I’m faced with the ultimate test;
all that pride must become deleted.
God has given me a marvelous gift;
planted surreptitiously inside;
writing has given an emotional lift;

Consciousness is the eternal mystery;
essence of all that’s said and done;
more than the compilation of history;
it’s eternity coalescing into one.

for Being exists, detached from time;

Many seem to have a volitile disposition;
it often shows up in sports;
easily frustrated by competition;
losing; puts them out of sorts.
Bad tempers are also displayed by drivers;
you’d best stay out of their way;

Evil Circumstance
Is our life destined; to be what will be;
or do we all make our own choices?
Was each one created to always be free;
or designed, to be, God’s voices?
Are we puppets; and, God, the puppeteer;
pulling our strings; to make us dance;

An Orphan Of God
What ever happened to innocence;
did she die, or simply move on?
The helpless victim of love’s impotence;
it’s hard to believe, she’s gone.
She stood convicted; without any trial;
her sentence wouldn’t be lenient;
an orphan of dreams; considered vile;

Goodbye Is A Lie
Thru the vastness of communication;
only thoughts tell just the truth;
speech allows for thought mitigation;
allow me to offer some proof.
Thoughts carry a sense of truth or nobility;
sometimes they embody both;
transformed to speech; they gain agility;
and truth then requires an oath.
Born To Breathe Love
Life is meant to become like a favorite brew;
we’re to drink from its cup; till its gone;
whatever be its taste; this life’s made for you;
you’re required to drink; and move on.
