Scrapbook Of Tears

My mind overflows with memories;
of my life; throughout the years;
time; windblown; like a gentle breeze;
my virtual scrapbook of tears.

Tears celebrate my childhood woes;
it seemed, that I never fit in;
from birth to now; my scrapbook goes;
I felt like a victim of sin.

I was the shrimp on the family tree;
the smallest boy in my school;
others laughed and made jokes of me;
to them; I was only a fool.

Everyone claims, size doesn’t matter;
but few of them knew the truth;
I became invisible; a victim of chatter;
popularity always speaks proof.

Like everyone else; I had my dreams;
but, I had my doubts, as well;
my youth was a study of extremes;
my life was a secret hell.

College became my second chance;
I was much taller, then;
I was too shy to seek a romance;
I didn’t know where to begin.

My mind overflows with memories;
of sadness; throughout the years;
time flew by, like a hurricane breeze;
in my virtual scrapbook of tears.
