Every Word That I Write
I feel I’ve walked for two thousand miles;
nearly two million words; my destination;
a quest of hundreds of thousands of trials;
before death becomes my vacation.
Several have told me; numbers mean nothing;
only the quality of writing is germane;

We live in the season of societal upheaval;
while the end of the age, draws near;
families are becoming divided by evil;
drowning in an ocean of fear.
We’ve seen the rise of a new pagan society;
many believing life; somehow, became;
God, replaced by an arrogant
Lunch With A Friend
Today, I went out to lunch with a friend;
I had nothing to do; but be lonely;
after an hour; lunch had come to an end;
and it was, once again, just me only.
I went shopping at a nearby grocery store;
loneliness followed from aisle
Born Shy
We spend our lives trying to learn;
just who, and what we’re to be;
all of us have our passions that burn;
and a side of us; none can see.
Deep in my mind; I know the truth;
tho I’d rather keep living the lie;

A Shoulder To Cry On
Loneliness is one of the greatest afflictions;
living in the shadows of life;
tho seemingly unburdened by life’s restrictions;
devoid of a friend; lover; or wife.
Everyone has need of someone to rely on;
no life can be lived, completely alone;

A Time To Sleep
Sleep is a gift; given without warning;
usually in the essence of time;
a respite between sunset and morning;
awareness; stopping on a dime.
Going to sleep is like taking vacations;
without making plans in advance;
dreams usher in mysterious situations;
some sleep is more like
Oh Woman, My Woman
Oh woman, my precious woman;
vision of love in the night;
how is it; I’ve come to love you so;
becoming my love and life.
You’re the beauty of God’s perfection;
your features, delicate and precise;
created to live under man’s protection;
In Our Own Way
Thoughts, to us, so precious and dear;
become the new dawn, each day;
we all face life, both unique and austere;
each in our very own way.
Most of us treat our lives as very serious;
to others; life is merely a bad joke;
