Mental Hibernation
The mind conveys to us, thoughts of the soul;
within multiple levels of concentration;
every level of sleep has its own special role;
the strangest of all, is mental hibernation.
There exist a great many levels of sleep;
consciousness has an endless depth;
some naps are light; while others are deep;
the deepest sleep is called death.
Sleep is the interruption of consciousness;
opening up a kingdom of dreams;
bringing up issues; the mind must address;
sleep is much more than it seems.
While we sleep; our mind’s still awake;
keeping our body alive;
for the mind to sleep, would be a mistake;
without it; we couldn’t survive.
Sometimes; when we sleep; we tend to dream;
thoughts, lingering over future or past;
concepts and images from a kingdom, unseen;
often such thoughts, refuse to last.
A coma is much like a mental hibernation;
unconscious; and barely alive;
where the mind goes on temporary vacation;
to enable the body to survive.
The deepest sleep of all is called death;
where the grave is like a cocoon;
oxygen is no longer required for breath;
and the grave becomes a womb.
