Love Understood
My thoughts seem to be slowly drifting;
like kites floating in mid air;
reality seems as though it’s been shifting;
change can lead to despair.
Change leads many people to loneliness;
especially, as we grow old;
changes are more difficult to address;
when we are not so bold.
Change represents challenge for the young;
bringing new mountains to climb;
without it; how could we blend into one;
enabled to exist in a realm sublime.
Change represents a new starting place;
life seen from a different view;
bringing God’s love, and saving grace;
making our lives brand new.
When we’re old; we often become stubborn;
resisting all types of change;
when it comes to our life; we want to govern;
new, always seems strange.
Many disappointments lead to depression;
sorrows make the world grow cold;
frustration makes love turn to aggression;
more so; as we grow old.
Failures, in life, always lead to changes;
tho some are bad; others are good;
our structure of thoughts; oft rearranges;
God’s love becomes understood;
