Fine Print
The devil was first to employ fine print;
for those lies; man was banished;
leaving man; for generations; to lament;
while God’s truth simply vanished.
Man then became the prisoner of lies;
creating endless sorrows and fears;
failing to recognize the devil’s disguise;
causing God unrelenting tears.
Demonic temptations became routine;
advertising sold only the best;
only our cleansers will truly clean;
passing, our most rigorous tests.
We seek the very best car we can buy;
with a warranty that lasts for years;
on such empty promises we often rely;
then; experience our very worst fears.
Contracts are the devil’s favorite tools;
the wary buyer is left to lament;
all are destined to become his fools;
for ignoring the devil’s fine print;
The Master never believed in fine print;
by giving us the wisdom to see;
God left us no need; we ever lament;
only God’s truth would set us free;
Thoughout life; we make many decisions;
with contracts, promises, or emails;
the devil, himself, makes his own revisions;
for, the devil is in all the details.
