Destiny’s Hand
Does destiny have his hand on me;
or, am I meant to be on my own;
most believe we’re to all roam free;
till, by faith, death sends us home.
We think of destiny as circumstance;
maintaining external control;
we’ve seen destiny lead to romance;
in the marriage of the soul.
Is destiny always standing near by;
catching us whenever we fall;
refusing to tempt; or allow us to die;
always at God’s beck and call?
Some think Destiny is God’s dove;
answering death in the night;
others believe destiny is God’s love;
returning the dead to the light.
Some say destiny is an angel of the Lord;
faithfully watching over the earth;
or, guarding Eden, with a flaming sword;
blocking entry to the garden of birth.
Destiny was the heart of Consciousness;
the bond of husband and wife;
God’s love was the soul of righteousness;
Destiny created life.
Destiny is the cornerstone of God’s creation;
God and creation are two peas in a pod;
it was God’s love; that brought salvation;
Destiny is the right hand of God.
