I spent most of today in yesterday;
its thoughts came in as a storm;
my mind quickly shelved today;
tho my body couldn’t conform.
Yesterday was an adventure, lost;
its leaves had fallen from the tree;
though I’ll never be free of its cost;
nevertheless, it still captivates
Life is oft termed, a book, or production;
neither of which, tells what it’s about;
I’ve served my time; since my induction;
and now, I want to find the way out.
I remain in a constant state of penitance;
for any ill thoughts, I’ve ever performed;
but,
More crafty than other animals made;
the serpent is often given the blame;
coming before man, while on parade;
and “serpent” was his given name.
Immediately after given that name;
we’re told a suitable mate wasn’t found;
the serpent’s complicity was to blame;
and the man was
All of living, is within our thought;
what we are; is what we think;
reality, itself, is what we’re taught;
physical life is gone in a blink.
Does an outside world even exist;
how could we, for sure, ever tell?
A mind may tell that images persist;
can we
Most of us live, focused on time;
it gives us our sense of direction;
tho it’s only, a function of a mind,
it still affords some protection.
The mind, always, a ticking clock;
maintains its ability to confound;
for there is within, no eternal lock;
the mind can distort
We’ve been told to raise up a child,
in a way pleasing to the Master;
implying, on their own, each are wild;
and in need of a personal pastor.
Some have taken it almost a threat;
if anything’s wrong; they’re to blame;
leaving many parents, living in
I find myself struggling to find purpose;
for what my life is to be about;
but, reasons seem reluctant to surface;
and I find I’m turned inside out.
Some days, I feel that I’m close to knowing;
that the answer, appears ready to surface;
and yet, then, while
Love is the oxygen that empowers the soul;
when inhaled, it makes life worth living;
a deeper connection to the Master, its role;
it’s far less about taking, than giving.
It’s the soft gentle breeze, in the heat of the day;
and the passionate kisses, warming each night;
