The Naked Truth
I’m sharing my thoughts on a public forum;
dare I question the emperor, without clothes;
must truth be silenced as improper decorum;
I feel I’m the thorn on the rose.
Emotionally, I’ve been to the mountaintop;
then, descended to the valley, below;
our resistance

Darkness approaches; announcing night;
and signaling the close of the day;
you might normally think this is all right;
for the world is designed this way.
The material world is a projection of thought;
a metaphor with a much deeper meaning;

Some say it’s too hot; others, too cold;
both days and nights are too long;

I’ve lost a desire to walk in the wood;
don’t have any interest to travel about;
so often I’m sad and misunderstood;
the creek is low; in the midst of drought.
The sun seems to have lost interest in me;

Some flowers and shrubs are armed with thorns;
the Master designed them to be left alone;
that may be the reason that the bull has horns;
to keep man’s pride from ascending a throne.
Thorns are to deflate the arrogant and proud;

Power Struggle
Wise is the man who knows his limitations;
but, foolish when they get in his way;
never living up to people’s expectations;
such a leader is sure to betray.
Those who seek power are the least deserving;
for, they hunger and lust for a throne;

Becoming
A word is only a link to a thought;
it’s nothing more; nothing less;
to the fore, a transition is brought;
a creation planned to bless.
The Word was a bang; a flash in the night;
the truth; evil was fearing;
God simply spoke the miracle of Light;
A Struggle For Love
Most establish our own life goals;
at least, so we think it to be.
We, alone, must determine our roles.
