A Bittersweet Reality
Love is a flower; beautiful and sweet;
the power that makes life complete;
especially when two lovers first meet;
reality, itself, can prove bittersweet;
Every life, created; has ups and downs;
especially those lives; lived by clowns;
often laced with laughter and frowns;
troubled by adding or losing pounds.
The scent of the flower is also sweet;
but every marriage; has one backseat;
disappointment leads the other to cheat;
the love that was; is now bittersweet.
Divorce is marriage, gone hither and yon;
though one cannot be, depended upon;
adultery seen; curtains weren’t drawn;
loneliness comes; as life moves on;
Life is a panoply of things; good and bad;
a mixture of everything; happy and sad;
although love can make both of us glad;
nothing’s worse; than an unwanted dad.
Love, just like life, must run it’s course;
sometimes, true love can lead to divorce;
a marriage is much like riding a horse;
when a rider’s thrown; there’s no recourse.
The rose has become the symbol of love;
life is where lovers are destined to meet;
in death, we return to the Father, above;
reality, itself, can become bittersweet.
