Often we shout; just to be heard;
but that isn’t, really, how it works;
whispers are better; it seems absurd;
but it’s one of reality’s quirks.

Imagine, shouting at someone you love;
do you think you’ll make an impression?
They might shout back and give a shove;
a frown will be their expression.

A shout brings distance from your love;
while a whisper will draw them near;
the shout makes them fall out of love;
but the whisper, tugs on their ear.

Shouting displays your ineptitude;
at conveying what you would share;
showing a complete lack of rectitude;
as tho you’re the only one there.

But a whisper has something to hide;
words meant for only a few;
that which normally is hidden inside;
intended especially for you.

Shout imbues the energies of hate;
whispers carry the fragrance of love;
to shouts; only the angry, relate;
whispers speak gently, from above.

If you hate and despise; then, “Shout!”
Love and Compassion come from above;
eventually all shouters are resigned to pout;
while the whisperers are drenched with Love.
