Where Strangers Walk
Where Strangers Walk
Most people, around us, are strangers;
no longer a sister or bother;
posing for society, many new dangers;
families must help each other.
No matter our faith; or no faith at all.
we’re a part of the family of man;
we need always lift all those who fall;
at least; do the best that we can.
Many now live in a world all their own;
riddled with competition and pride;
standards dropped; what we call home;
evil is often hidden inside.
Guit goads us; find ways to help others;
perhaps a bureacracy, founded above;
now; strangers; not sisters and brothers;
governments don’t know how to love.
And so, arrives the kingdom of have-nots;
ruled by the emperors of the haves;
the rich own everything; even vacant lots;
empty promises are useless salves.
We’re in a kingdom where strangers walk;
each one living in a world all their own;
to others; beneath us; we won’t even talk;
government has become our home.
Those; who once worshiped and trusted God;
loved the god of money, even more;
those who are now fools; must find it odd;
Government gave what you asked for.
Now we live where only strangers walk;
money, now controls everything;
what we can say; and when we can talk;
money has become our king;
