What Others See
What Others See
As I gaze out at a beautiful creation,
contemplating what reality may be;
I temporarily give my eyes a vacation;
and I imagine what others may see.
I look in the mirror; and it looks back;
giving me a fearful, vacant stare;
it can almost bring on a heart attack;
knowing it’s me standing there.
The eyes, constantly, take in information;
the mind paints them with color and depth;
thoughts issue their own conformation;
such a miracle can take one’s breath.
Yet, I can’t help but wonder about others;
exactly what does each one see;
whether they be strangers or brothers;
do they all see the same things as me?
Vision employs many multifaced senses;
sight includes smell, taste, and sound;
much, only seen through thought’s lenses;
only through thought, is truth found.
Reality is solely a mind’s determination;
trees aren’t physical; neither are leaves;
everyone must honor thought’s evaluation;
truth becomes known; when one believes.
All others are simply Thought’s creation;
life wasn’t created; in order to die;
death is the foretaste of life’s salvation;
all become One in the Master’s eye.
