What Others Hear
The world is beautiful; as I awaken;
I open my eyes and take a peak;
I often wonder if my view is mistaken;
could everyone’s view be unique.
Does everyone see, what appears to me;
and do others hear, what I hear;
do others have thoughts of what to be;
especially, as death draws near?
Tho each of us, is a part of a life stream;
we each have our destiny to seek;
to some life’s a challenge; others; a dream;
each one of us, is completely unique.
Most think all others are much the same;
we all live to laugh and cry;
many treat life, as though it’s a game;
all born to live; and then die.
Everyone wonders what the future might be;
we all have the same eyes and ears;
what’s right for you; may not be for me;
all face seasons of laughter and tears.
Do voices sound the same to one and all;
or, is each, a fingerprint of sound;
do we all have the same pain when we fall;
do we feel the same thud of the ground?
Many dream of being in another one’s place;
especially as life’s end draws near;
does everyone share equally, in God’s grace;
do we each hear what others hear?
