We're Thirsty

What is it that motivates actions and thought:
and dictates the paths that we choose;
that which internally says what we ought;
and governs all points of views?

Why do we feel the way that we feel;
that becomes what we think, say and do;
creator of all, to us, becomes real;
and follows us, our whole life through?

The bottom line is that we’re thirsty;
we’re actually starved for affection;
living each day in pursuit of mercy;
the river of love is our connection.

For love is a permanent energy source;
meant to keep consciousness alive;
this circular energy must remain in force;
in order that life can survive.

We need oxygen for the body to live;
but love is required for the soul;
to receive it, we first must give;
and the circle of love makes us whole.

Water is vital; offer a stranger a drink;
for you have tendered your love as well.
That stranger may well be on the brink;
feeling unloved but none can tell.

The very thought to give, conveys power;
you demonstrate strongly you care;
for everyone is but a living flower;
and flowers can be found everywhere.

So, be sure to take time to water the garden;
all people are His flowers above;
and the very best way to assure a pardon
is to water God’s flowers with Love.
