How can I, somehow, absorb your pain;
is there some way I can lift your spirit?
Why has this life, gained your disdain;
you mustn’t let sorrows near it.

Most of us think we can avoid all drama;
but drama is what all life is about;
all must learn how to deal with trauma;
for love can silence the loudest shout.

Evil can start uncontrollable fires;
the unfaithful can sear your soul;
Love’s power surpresses Evil’s desires;
bringing those fires under control.

If I could remove all of your fears;
erase all mistakes of your past;
I’d gladly wipe away all your tears;
allowing only love to last.

But challenges of life are meant to be;
it wasn’t planned as a long vacation;
it’s ebbs and flows shall set us free;
while boredom leads to stagnation.

We can’t stay long on the moutaintop;
while the waters of life flow below;
nor should we expect all life to stop;
when those waters turn into snow.

Variety is oft called the spice of life;
giving life, much of its flavor;
requiring just a smidgin of strife;
enabling victories, we savor.

This life is only one act of the play;
eventually boredom sinks in;
tho we all think we want to stay;
there’s another, waiting to begin.
