Unloved And Alone

Unloved And Alone

Most of my life there were others around;
people, with whom, stories I share;
ordinary voices have a melodious sound;
just knowing there’s someone there.

Many relate becoming alone in a crowd;
not knowing what alone is about;
their platitudes leave me to laugh outloud;
their wisdom, I’ll forever doubt.

Loneliness is not some story that we tell;
just wanting others to feel sorry;
loneliness is a daily walk through hell;
where you are a demon’s quarry.

Some things in this life, can’t be described;
they’re the things that must be felt;
unloved and alone; must be imbibed;
it’s when life is starting to melt.

I feel myself in such a state of affairs;
feeling the sting of a thousand bees;
my life is tumbling down a long stairs;
life seems like an incurable disease.

How can I feel empty; yet still become;
what is love’s annointed role;
love brings two; together as one;
love is the breath of the soul.

Unloved and alone is now my resume;
someday, God will bring me home;
filling me with peace and love; that day;
till then, I’m unloved and alone.
