Unloved

Many times in my life; I felt all alone;
it seemed such an empty feeling;
almost as though I had lost my home;
a lack of love sent me reeling.

Love is the essence; the purpose of life;
emptiness comes, with its passing;
such as the loss of a husband or wife;
such loves are meant, everlasting.

Many waste their time in senseless relations;
wishing and hoping for love;
but, life goes on; adding new obligations;
all need to seek God above.

Abandoned and unloved; we live in fear;
for, our sense of purpose is gone;
always seeking, that love may draw near;
all the while; life just goes on.

Love isn’t a diamond ring, or flowers;
it’s an eternal connection;
what’s yours is mine; and mine, is ours;
love dies in one’s rejection.

Love may only be given; never taken;
a truth, that must be learned;
when love is felt; reality is shaken;
its energies can never be earned.

Love’s the everlasting bond of God’s reality;
unloved is more deadly than a heart attack;
no love is ever meant to experience finality;
the love, you give; always gives back.
