Tunnel Of Understanding
Life is a tunnel of limited understanding;
a journey that all of us must travel;
within it; all are divided by branding;
causing reality, itself, to unravel.
Although it is true; that all of us are equal;
each of us is separate and unique;
we’ve been, before; there will be a sequel;
love will give its own critique.
This tunnel wasn’t designed for competition;
though much competition shall occur;
failure to love; shall cause hate’s repetition;
to which; all must defer;
We’re each components of a structure called life;
like the tides; we will ebb and flow;
love is the bond between husband and wife;
enabling both of them to grow.
All shall fail; at one time; or another;
divided by greed and pride;
each one, of us, is a sister of brother;
we all are family; inside.
As we near the end of each particular journey;
forgiveness must become our goal;
God, himself, is both judge and attorney;
to love, is the duty of the soul.
The tunnel of understanding; is about perfection;
all divisions and hate; must come to an end;
a lack of understanding was the cause of rejection;
the tunnel brings light that love may ascend.
