To The Woman I Love

I once had the privilage to look in your eyes;
sensing your heart staring back out at me;
bringing forth a sensation of endless surprise;
perhaps God has given me the eyes to see.

I momentarily basked in your warm embrace;
I could feel the sweet warmth of your love;
your sweet lips; I’m forbidden to taste;
tho, once joined in the garden above.

It may have been lifetimes; since we last met;
perhaps, many more; till we’ll meet again;
my thoughts contain my treasure of regret;
tho my love for you shall always remain.

In the beginning; we shared the same soul;
both of us. had thoughts, of the same mind;
love and marriage had been destiny’s role;
but, destiny required, I be left behind.

We find ourselves in different times and places;
we each have very different roles to play;
both are in the confines of the Master’s graces;
perhaps, destiny will rejoin us some day.

Meanwhile, I must continue on my way;
destiny has me under his control;
love and I shall become one; another day;
we’re each part of the very same soul.

God determines what’s meant to be;
truth is greater than we believe;
It may not be true; though I still can see;
I was once Adam; and you were my Eve.
