Time is the eraser of yesterday;
the creator of a new day as well;
time is thinking of tomorrow, today;
and all futures as best we can tell.
Time can change all events;
for him, it is all child’s play;
he’s never held in suspense;
he can merely begin a new day.
If the grasses are wet with the dew;
he’ll simply speed up the clock;
the sun’s heat will dry and renew;
for all keys to the future unlock.
If the flowers are begging for rain;
and the trees are in need as well;
he can bring in the clouds again;
until all its raindrops fell.
Time is the arbiter of day and night;
and changing the hot day to cold;
sometimes acting out of pure spite;
making time, himself, grow old.
When time seems to go on vacation;
it may seem that the day won’t end;
putting us all through tribulations;
until time once more, begins.
But when time speeds up very fast;
and the day seems to quickly pass by;
it appears that reality won’t last;
that we realize time CAN really fly.
