Those Who've Come Before

Those Who’ve Come Before

To those who’ve come before;
and will come again thereafter;
may your lives not be a chore;
but always be spiced by laughter.

May your life be an unending feast;
from each of its inceptions;
and you be regarded the least;
and maintain the Master’s protections.

May you be immeasurably blessed;
and always known for compassion;
by love, all others carressed;
for love is not to be rationed.

May wisdom become your hallmark;
and discernment be your guide;
a smile be regarded your birthmark;
and your frown be hidden inside.

For you’re not appointed as judge;
nor will you be on God’s jury;
since most all of us tend to hold a grudge;
man’s judgements bring on God’s fury.

All who are tried in the Master’s court;
stand convicted by their own mind;
no other witnesses need to report;
by their own thoughts is truth defined.

All waves of life; have been here before;
waves that move out; come back in;
and the waters of life, washing ashore;
beginning life’s cycle once again.
