The Voice Of God

Has God ever spoken to you;
have you ever heard His voice?
Did He explain what you’re to do;
and yet, leave you the choice?

God speaks in a special tongue;
even tho He can make a voice,
Thought and voice become one;
God simply takes His choice.

God doesn’t always deliver His word;
in audible sounds that ears can hear;
His words, only by the mind are heard;
that others might not overhear.

God’s whispers may sound like a shout;
amplified by His energy sound;
only energy, not sound, comes out;
and only to his targets, bound.

We think He speaks in an audible voice;
as He conveys His message to the mind;
for thought transmission is oft His choice;
for that’s how His speech is defined.

Thoughts on my mind, are often, not mine;
their true author goes undiscerned;
the depth of their wisdom is easily defined;
and truth, from the Master, is learned.

When very deep thoughts enter my mind;
thoughts too lofty to be my choice;
such Wisdom is only by the Master defined;
and I know that it’s truly God’s voice.
