The Visionary

Vision is life’s most curious mystery;
each person’s sight is most unique;
visions of others, throughout history;
are not ours to critique.

Most think they only see with their eyes;
such thoughts are not the truth;
that they see with their mind; may surprise;
but our dreams offer us proof.

Most of us dream with our eyes closed;
so how could the light come in;
vision is not at all what’s supposed;
the mind sees from within.

The mind actually has unlimited vision;
seeing beyond what eyes can see;
thoughts see beyond; and make a decision;
about wisdom, truth, and reality.

The visionary looks into the great beyond;
much farther than any eye could see;
before others make an attempt to respond;
the visionary determines what is to be.

The visionary is an ordinary woman or man;
given a special gift from God to see;
faith gives the power to see what God can;
viewing what God meant it to be.

Sometimes, the visionary is not religious;
tho his love, catches God’s eye;
God’s gift of writing can become prodigious;
fervent love makes God cry.
