The Unpardonable Sin
Much is written of the unpardonable sin;
as tho the Lord can only go so far;
such a concept seems unpardonable; to begin;
that God has a limit, seems bizarre.
We were instructed by the Master not to judge;
we ignore it; because we can’t see;
lusting over God’s power; we fail to budge;
“I’ll do to them; as they’ve done to me!”
Revenge is the typical judgment of weakness;
man is unable to forgive and forget;
forgiveness is God’s love and uniqueness;
those, unable; will always regret.
The Master’s judgment is unique and wise;
wisdom God expects his children to know;
forgiveness is love; waiting in disguise;
only with love; can understanding grow.
Jonah spent 3 days, swimming in swill;
a metaphor of 3 days in the tomb;
all for refusing to adhere to God’s will;
a flower was forced to bloom.
Saul spent 3 days devoid of all sight;
for persecuting the Master;
from darkness; Paul came to the Light;
the prodigal; became a pastor.
We’re children of God; a part of His lineage;
we’re much like beautiful flowers;
understand; we are made in God’s image;
God is not made in ours.
