The Turmoil Within
Most of us search for calm and peace;
expecting, soon we shall find it;
instead we feel life’s pressures increase;
without knowing how to confine it;
The world is in constant turmoil all around;
and, we don’t even know where to begin;
outside: a thunderstorm of lightning and sound;
but the greatest turmoil resides within.
Turmoil is the inner conflicts we feel;
inside us; all conflicts are born;
its ebb and flow soon becomes surreal;
between love and hate; we’re torn.
Inside us there exists a strong polarity;
opposites fighting for control;
betwixt the two, is an energy disparity;
such is the realm of the soul.
Thoughts battle to gain superiority;
each soul is a world all its own;
neither side has complete seniority;
peace is the in between zone.
People often speak of changing their mind;
tho no mind speaks with one voice;
one thought, briefly, leaves the other behind;
and the soul hears the other voice.
The outside world is in demonic control;
inside is the fight we must win;
demons are invading everyone’s soul;
the real turmoil exists within.
