The Price Of Love
Some view life as a soft summer breeze;
when young and feeling alive;
when shadows come; life is just memories;
the saddest, of which, survive.
All our perspectives change with our age;
when young; we live day to day;
when older; we dread life’s last page;
as our bodies begin their decay.
In our thoughts; we’ve become contrary;
thinking physicality is all there is;
our Lord admonishes, we not grow wary;
all of our dreams are his.
We are God’s fondest hopes and dreams;
coming, daily, into fruition;
we are his love, flowing in streams;
education; without tuition.
Wisdom has taught us; nothing is free;
every gift, has its own cost;
faith must be balanced with reality;
nothing is gained; without loss.
If we want love; we have to give it;
we can’t receive; without giving;
when one offends; we must forgive it;
forgiveness is the cost of living.
We cannot hate someone God loves;
such heresy simply can’t be;
eagles must be, as harmless as doves;
for, nothing in life is free.
