The Pain Of Separation

No life was created to live alone;
we all need companions, and friends;
now in a kingdom away from home;
our pain of separation descends.

We begin life in a nursery environment;
where there’s one to take care of us;
getting attention, has but one requirement;
that we scream, cry, and make a fuss.

When older, we’re given responsibilites;
no one is created without reason;
with faith, there are no impossibilities;
our purpose is displayed, in season.

We all need others, to make life worthwhile;
our connections of life on earth;
people to enable us to laugh and smile;
till we return to our place of birth.

A kingdom of illusions presents complications;
loneliness need not be one;
when we are confronted with love’s separations;
we feel as if our life is done.

For we each are only half of life’s equation;
for all were created to become a pair;
and the sadness and pain from separation;
makes us cry for someone to care.

And yet, life’s equation is more than a pair;
our eternal existence is really a sphere;
in death, while expecting no one to be there;
everyone we love, shall appear.
