The Opposite Of Love
The Opposite Of Love
Many tend to view love and hate;
on opposite ends of a scale;
to such an opinion; I cannot relate;
love often hides neath a veil.
Hate is actually love’s frustration;
jealosy at its peak;
sometimes rising from aggrevation;
such pride isn’t unique.
Hate is a fury unleashed; unguarded;
often by an unscrupulous foe;
love is the cure for the broken hearted;
once they’ve learned to grow.
Love is an out of control hurricane;
a permanent glue of affection;
oft, an embarrassment to those urbane;
maintaining a lasting connection.
Hate is the culmination of differences;
signified by the slap of a glove;
often caused by unsupported inferences;
but, it certainly isn’t love.
Love is the ultimate; infinite eternal caring;
it’s one of a kind; without equal;
two are one; when it’s love they’re sharing;
love can even create a sequel.
Love is the ultimate of righteousness;
its energies are most elegant;
a lack of love causes loneliness;
making the lonely, irrelevant.
To this subject, I can readily relate;
I’m in a state of insignificance;
for the opposite of love isn’t hate;
love’s opposite is indiference.
