The Master Of My Fate

What is this mystery referred to as fate;
was it designed as my destiny;
some special future; which I must await;
about whatever is best for me?

Did not the Master give me free choice;
are we not to live at our own accord;
or, need we listen for the Master’s voice;
for the words of our Sovereign Lord?

If fate exists; it certainly isn’t my own;
for I am the master of indecision;
such fate comes only from God, alone;
my thoughts are only ambition.

Fate is the theory about predestination;
every life has a unique purpose;
our choices merely add complication;
we’re servants, under the surface.

Our fate is the purpose God created;
including those talents he’s given;
pride and ambition must be deflated;
all who choose love are forgiven.

Fate is the foundation of God’s plan;
only prodigals stand in the way;
salvation comes by the Son of Man;
his love ushers in a new day.

Beware whenever you feel in control;
God is looking down from above;
trust only God; who created your soul;
the purpose of life, is love.
