The Lonely Season

I have faced life’s forces of needless antipathy;
conflicts occuring without reason;
having discovered true love’s proclivity;
I’ve entered life’s lonely season.

Love is the undercurrent of life’s every wave;
it is the gold standard, all seek;
there is no adversity, we’re unwilling to brave;
love is the gift for the meek.

Most people confuse what true love is about;
thinking love is a most comfortable feeling;
but, when love is genuine; our feelings shout;
for the power of love sends our soul reeling.

True love is a connection; two souls; united;
an unbreakable marriage, together;
when one’s love for another is unrequited;
someone remains lonely forever.

The illusion of physicality is merely a season;
like waves of the ocean; it ebbs and flows;
only the God of creation understands the reason;
it’s on this stage; that life dies or grows.

Some go through many seasons of strife;
finding their true love, unrequited;
destiny ordained one marriage for life;
with two parts of a soul; reunited.

I have faced life’s forces of needless antipathy;
conflicts occuring without reason;
having discovered true love’s proclivity;
now alone, in life’s lonely season.
