The Labyrinth
The labyrinth is the perfect life scene;
with its endless paths and dead ends;
formed like a maze; weeds in between;
separating all foes from friends.
Its maze includes hedges of emotions;
and weeds on each garden path;
exposing us to all of life’s explosions;
sometimes God’s limitless wrath.
There’s no clear path to destination;
poison ivy is found on the way;
and no explanation, regarding causation;
as night, overtakes the day.
Life is the jungle of complex situations;
we were sent here to suffer and change;
exposed to conflicts and limitless nations;
our soul’s attitude needed, rearrange.
Ever facing the question of “why?”
unable to find out the answer;
understanding we were sent to die;
whether by age, wars, or cancer.
The labyrinth tends to make us hate more;
for frustration is complication;
not knowing what others have in store;
lead to unending, consternation.
Strangly, this labyrinth is a garden world;
a replica of Eden, from above;
this distorted perfection from reality, unfurled;
was meant to teach us to Love.
