The Kingdom Of Lies

We live in a kingdom, dominated by lies;
where the truth rarely stands a chance;
a world where the fools, outnumber the wise;
while the majority is held in a trance.

Some liars are referred to as the “fact checkers”
perhaps the greatest liars of all;
a better description would be “truth rejecters”
their pride exceeded their fall.

Whenever our history comes into question;
authority makes it’s solumn decree;
absolute truth is deemed mere suggestion;
demanding we forget what we see.

History is used to chronicle what transpires;
but history morphs into opinion;
the bully pulpits are now filled with liars;
since earth is the devil’s dominion.

We’ve allowed fiction to be regarded as truth;
believing in evil’s good intention;
accepting propaganda from those most aloof;
lies are the devil’s invention.

Promises today must become etched in stone;
oaths no longer carry much weight;
honor and truth have lost their backbone;
and love; surrendered to hate.

Today we now face the rest of the story;
money has little value of its own;
opportunism has replaced God’s glory;
and Evil sits on its throne.
